We moved from downtown London Saturday night. We did not see much of Slough but the highlight of Slough is our hotel was centrally located right along the train line and being the British equivalent of Scranton.
On this beautiful Sunday we took a six minute train ride from Slough to Windsor to visit Windsor Castle and the town of Windsor.
When we arrived in Windsor we headed over to Windsor Castle. As we approached we noticed that the Royal Standard was flying and this meant that the Queen was in residence. Despite her being home she did not seek us out to invite us in for a sandwich or even a spot of tea. We toured the grounds, had a little ice cream. We returned to the Castle later that evening to attend Evensong at St. George's Chapel.
We took a walk around the town, had a little lunch and ice cream cone at an Irish restaurant named McDonalds prior to heading back to the Castle for Evensong.
