Once again we headed north to visit Alnwick Castle, the second largest inhabited castle in England. We were able to tour the grounds and visit the state rooms. One of the Harry Potter movies were filmed at the castle and everyone (except me) was excited to take the Harry Potter tour. While the others were seeing where Harry Potter did his magic I visited the Alnwick Garden. The gardens were beautifully landscaped and they had a stunning fountain display.
After we left Alnwick Castle we traveled through the scenic Northumberland National Park and crossed over into Scotland. We made a brief stop in Jedburgh to view the ruins of the Jedburgh abbey.
We arrived in the city Edinburgh which would be the farthest point north on our trip. After getting situated at our hotel we partook in a Scottish Evening with bagpipes, dancing and song. We (some of us) even ate haggis.
